Who’s behind QuestPace

Your game library

Your game collection, progress, ratings, notes, goals and recorded playtime are stored on your device. QuestPace uses Apple’s private CloudKit database to sync supported library data between devices using the same iCloud account. It does not create a separate QuestPace account or public profile.

Apple processes iCloud data under its own terms and privacy policy. Your widgets read shared app data on the device. Library titles, statuses, genres and artwork can also appear in on-device Spotlight search.

Catalogue and external services

Catalogue searches and game information use IGDB. Requests pass through a Cloudflare-hosted service; cover images can be loaded directly from IGDB. These connections necessarily involve technical request information, such as an IP address. The service uses technical information for operation, security and rate limiting. This includes using the client IP address for rate limiting and logging request identifiers, routes, operations, response status, timing and errors. Cloudflare also records request metadata, including IP addresses, request URLs and headers, and network-derived location information such as country or city. This does not use your device’s GPS permission.

The catalogue service’s Workers Logs are currently retained for up to three days on Cloudflare’s Free plan. This is separate from any provider security, aggregate or legally required records, which follow the provider’s retention practices. Deleting your library does not delete these separate service records.

Existing game-price and subscription information uses IsThereAnyDeal through the service, with game identifiers and the country derived from your device region, rather than GPS location. Opening an external link involves that provider’s services and privacy practices.

External videos and YouTube thumbnails

Event videos and streams open outside QuestPace when you tap the play button. YouTube links open in the YouTube app or your default browser, depending on your device settings. Game trailers also open outside the app. QuestPace does not embed a video player.

Game trailer lists can load thumbnail images directly from YouTube before you open a video. These image requests share technical information with Google, including your IP address and the requested image, which identifies the associated video. Choosing not to open a video does not prevent these thumbnail requests.

Once you open an external video, the provider handles playback under its own terms, privacy policy and your settings in that app or browser. For YouTube, Google may process account, device and browser information, viewing activity and advertising interactions as described in its Privacy Policy. Other stream providers, such as Twitch, apply their own policies.

Google’s policies govern its records and retention; deleting your QuestPace library does not delete information held by Google. Review Google’s retention information and the privacy controls linked from its Privacy Policy.

Optional permissions and purchases

Calendar, Reminders and notification features use the permissions you grant in iOS to read calendars and reminders and manage your game plans, app-created events and reminders. Notifications deliver the alerts you enable. You can review or revoke permissions in system Settings. Purchases and restore operations use Apple’s StoreKit services; QuestPace does not receive your payment-card details.

Backups and deletion

The app keeps up to ten managed local backups. You can also create and export backups of your library. Exported files are under your control and remain wherever you save or share them. Restoring a backup replaces the current library contents.

The app’s Delete All Data flow explains what it removes before you confirm. It handles the managed library, its iCloud data, app-owned Calendar and Reminders items and managed backups. Exported copies, preferences and Pro ownership are preserved. Diagnostic reports are managed separately. You may also need to delete files you exported to other locations.

Diagnostics

Apple’s MetricKit can provide technical reports about crashes, hangs, launch problems and CPU or disk activity. The app stores these reports, including technical app/device information, dates and app version, locally until you delete them in Diagnostics. You can inspect a report and choose whether and where to share it. Deleting your library does not delete these reports. Apple may separately provide developer diagnostics under your Apple analytics-sharing settings and its privacy policy. QuestPace does not automatically upload its local reports or your library through this website.

When you contact support

If you use the support form, the email address, message and any optional app information you choose to include are sent through Formspree to the developer’s Gmail inbox. App information can include the app version, build, iOS version and device model. You can review, edit or exclude it before sending.

Messages are used to respond to your request and investigate the issue you describe. Please do not include passwords, payment details or sensitive personal information. There are no attachments or support accounts.

The form uses Cloudflare Turnstile and provider spam controls. See the Turnstile Privacy Addendum. These services process technical information to check submissions and prevent abuse. Formspree’s Free plan provides 30 days of submission history; this is separate from the email copy and any provider operational records. Support correspondence is kept while a request is open and for any necessary follow-up, then deleted within 12 months after resolution. Records needed for a legal obligation or an active dispute may be kept longer for that purpose. You can ask for earlier deletion by email, subject to those exceptions. Removing a Formspree entry does not remove the Gmail copy. Deleted email can remain in Gmail’s Trash for up to 30 days; provider backup and security records can persist separately under Google’s retention policy.

This website

This website is hosted by Cloudflare. It uses technical request data to deliver and protect the site. We do not add advertising, audience analytics, a newsletter or cross-site tracking. Fonts and app screenshots are served with the website. The support form loads Turnstile only when its integration is available.

Your choices and questions

You control your library, backups and optional permissions in the app and iOS. You can contact the developer to ask about information you have provided to support, request a correction or ask for deletion. Depending on where you live, additional privacy rights may apply.
